Warranty Statement for MATAI Watches
At MATAI, we are dedicated to providing high-quality timepieces across our collections. We believe in the craftsmanship and precision of our watches, and to demonstrate our commitment to your satisfaction, we offer the following warranty in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Coverage
EXODUS Collection
MATAI's EXODUS Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Genesis & Manea G4 | Automatic Collection
MATAI's Genesis and Manea G4 Automatic Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Iva Masina Collection
MATAI's Iva Masina Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Genesis & Manea A | G3 Collection
MATAI's Genesis and Manea A | G3 Collection watches are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
What We Protect Against
Our warranty covers the following issues where they are confirmed to be manufacturing defects:

Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship

Defective movement or watch components
-
Water resistance issues resulting from a manufacturing defect

Issues with the watch's functionality

Loose or damaged watch crown or stem resulting from a manufacturing defect
What We Don't Cover
Our limited warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by:

Accidents, misuse, abuse or neglect

Normal wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs and fading of the watch case or bracelet

Water damage resulting from use beyond the stated water-resistance limits

Loss or theft of the watch
-
Alterations or repairs attempted by unauthorised parties

Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, magnetic fields or prolonged sunlight

Damage caused by improper handling or use
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team at info@mataiwatches.com and provide:

Proof of purchase

A description of the issue

Clear images or video showing the problem, where possible
We will assess the claim and determine the appropriate solution.
MATAI may require the watch to be returned for inspection before confirming whether the issue is covered under the warranty.
Please do not send a watch back without first contacting our customer service team and receiving return instructions.
Warranty Repairs and Replacements
Where a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty is confirmed, MATAI may, at our discretion and subject to applicable law:

Repair the watch

Replace the watch with the same model

Replace the watch with the closest available equivalent where the original model is no longer available
MATAI reserves the right to discontinue or modify watch models, which may affect the availability of replacement models or components.
Australian Consumer Law
MATAI's limited warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund where a product has a major failure. You may also be entitled to have a product repaired or replaced where it fails to meet the consumer guarantees and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

MATAI Sunglasses are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase.
This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
During the warranty period, MATAI may repair or replace, at our discretion and subject to applicable law, sunglasses that are confirmed to have a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship.
This may include defects affecting the frame, hinges or lenses.

Delamination or separation of lens layers

Lens peeling or distortion resulting from a manufacturing defect

Our warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by:

Scratched lenses resulting from normal use

Normal wear and tear
